Subscriber Agreement
Effective May 13, 2004 the WECA Board of Directors adopted the following policy with
regards to a new offer for electrical contractors who wish to train apprentices
but not join WECA as a Contractor
Member. The new type of membership is
called a Subscriber Agreement
and is available to CA licensed electrical contractors who would like to obtain
apprentices for training and/or meeting labor compliance wage/hiring
requirements but do not wish to join any Association. The Subscriber Agreement
allows non-members to obtain apprentices after being
approved to train and agreeing to follow WECA-IEC’s Employer Rules and Regulations
and attending mandatory orientation training. For each month they want to use apprentices,
Subscribers will pay in advance an ongoing monthly fee equaling the highest dues/PAC
category regardless of the subscribing contractor’s size and sales revenue.
As of October 2007, the monthly fee will be $2405.
